Engineering
With Purpose
I've spent 18+ years building web applications with Python, Ruby on Rails, and React, deploying on AWS and GCP — and over the last four years, that's expanded into data pipelines and search systems.
I've worked across microservices and search engineering with Elasticsearch and OpenSearch. I've also led engineering teams, which means I care as much about how a system is designed as I do about whether it works.
More recently I've been spending a lot of time on AI and ML — RAG pipelines, LLMs, computer vision. I find this space genuinely interesting, and I approach it the same way I do backend work: get it running, then make sure it stays running in production.

Working with GDSN product data — ingestion, validation, normalisation, and multi-region sync — using Python and Ruby. Designed the microservices architecture, handled Kubernetes deployments on STACKIT and GCP, and built React-based web applications for client use. Collaborating closely with a distributed team throughout.

Led backend architecture for a set of data integration products. Wrote services in Python and Ruby, built out Elasticsearch indexing, and managed Docker and Kubernetes deployments. Worked closely with European clients throughout the engagement.

Eight years here — started as a developer and ended up leading a team of 10+ engineers. Built and maintained high-traffic LMS platforms on Rails with React frontends, did significant database performance work, and handled a legacy migration from Laravel to Rails.

GDSN Product Data Pipeline
Data pipelines for GDSN product data — handling ingestion, validation, normalisation, and multi-region synchronisation to GS1 standards. Built in Python and Ruby, deployed across GCP and AWS.
Impact: Reliable product data sync across international supply chains
AI & ML Systems
A set of ML projects built over the past few months: a RAG-based pipeline using LLMs for document querying, and CNN/VGG16 models for image classification. Both deployed as Flask APIs in Docker containers, running on cloud infrastructure.

GreyCampus LMS Platform
Built and led the engineering of an education platform that scaled to serve thousands of users. Rails backend, React frontend, Elasticsearch for search, and PostgreSQL on AWS RDS. Led a team of 10+ engineers, worked closely with business teams to understand their problems, translated requirements into technical solutions, and drove implementation end to end.

FindMyDirectDoctor
End-to-end build of a US healthcare directory where patients can find direct care and concierge doctors by specialty, location, and procedure. Includes a job board, lab testing portal, and separate dashboards for patients and providers.
